Art Shows, cineclub and residencies
El Centro Cultural Casa Canarias es un proyecto para difundir la cultura en la localidad, realizando residencias, encuentros y talleres: literarios, artísticos, cinematográficos, ambientales.
Every Saturday on the plaza in Chacala, right next door to Chac Mool Restaurante, from November till April. It features handmade products such as jewelry, art and food, plus the hightly popular Organic Farm.
The main aims of Chacalit are to promote literacy and the love of books across our community and to establish Chacala as a base for creative people of many disciplines & diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on writers.
Chacala has hosted a free Music & Arts Festival run by the community every year in March since 2014. It features children's performance, local visual artists and printmakers, bands, solo acts, dance groups & even theatrical performances. The line up is varied and the festival is designed to be inclusive to different nationalities, ages & backgrounds.
El circulo de intercambio es una iniciativa empezada en el 2018 para mejorar la comunicación entre diferentes sectores de la sociedad en Chacala y para fomentar relaciones autenticas entre personas de habla hispana y de anglohablantes. ?Sabes un poco de ingles pero no tienes oportunidad de practicarlo? Las reuniones semanales del intercambio te dan esa oportunidad y además tu le ayudarás a alguien mas a conocer mejor tu idioma. Aprenderás mucho más que inglés.
